Position Description Overall Goal
Provide a leadership role to our business partners to integrate all Reader's Digest businesses and it's affiliates into the web in a competitive, creative and effective way.
Work closely with Digital Business Group Project Director on all aspects of your role
Marketing/Client/Project Management
- Work closely with your client base on a regular basis to learn their business and how it pertains to the web.
- Lead regularly scheduled meetings with client base to discuss recent accomplishments, near term deliverables, long term plan status and FY budget. Update as needed.
- Manage smaller scale projects for the client to completion and own results with the business.
- Know the competitors in your clients' industry, watch their web activity closely, review results of what they do, how they do it and what works.
- Work with the client to manage their internet budget, defining priorities and schedules through the FY.
- Gather business requirements.
- Extend business needs to improve on the business objectives at every opportunity.
- Requirements definition and documentation.
- Provide leadership and direction relating to your project(s) to all members of the project team through the lifecycle of the project.
- Schedule and task management.
- Manage the project to the project budget.
- Work towards projects coming in on time and on budget while meeting the goals set forth in the requirements.
- Post and understand project results and analyze where applicable (how did it do, what worked, what didn't, how can it do better? can we reuse it elsewhere?)
- Able to juggle multiple projects at one time - managing time efficiently.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus one to three years project management experience, two to four years web experience with basic knowledge of project lifecycle. Experience with content management, ecommerce, ad serving, and/or online sweepstakes a plus.
