The Challenge: Online Course Registration
Toronto CPR is a an authorized provider of Canadian Red Cross programs. Their specialty is providing onsite CPR and first aid training to individuals, groups, and corporations.Having people sign up for courses is critical to their business and so this process needs to be as simple as possible. The traditional method is to have people call in, but that would require that someone be available at all times to take the call. So, Toronto CPR decided that they should make use of a web site's 24x7 availability.
The Solution: An Automated Course Scheduler and Registration System
Web-based registration systems are common these days and such a system was a perfect solution.
To augment this system, a password protected calendar was added to give instructors a way to
get scheduling information in real-time.
Now registrations can be taken at anytime and updates to the course schedule can be made in real-time. Instructors need only check the calendar on a regular basis to determine where they'll be teaching a course and determine what supplies they'll need.
As a result of these efforts, Toronto CPR was able to:
- Schedule many courses and receive over $25,000.00 worth of registrations in just under 2 months of operations.
- Avoid paying someone to handle telephone calls since registrants could use the web site.
- Establish itself as a premiere provider of CPR related training in the Toronto area.
